FILMING NOTIFICATION LETTER
January 27 2020
GEP Resident Inc. is filming the upcoming TV series, “Resident Alien” between January 27, 2020 and January 30, 2020 in
Ladysmith, BC in various locations near 1st Ave and Roberts St. Production would like to provide you with information to help
you prepare for our arrival and anticipate how our activity might affect you daily routine.
To recap how parking will change while the production is in town starting, January 26th, 2020, GEP RESIDENT INC will
require the entire use of the following lots beginning on January 26, 2020 likely until end of day January 30, 2020:
-The Roberts Street Parking Lot, 17 Roberts Street
-The Traveller’s Hotel Parking Lot, 127 Gatacre Street
-The Fisherman’s Wharf Lot, 901 Ludlow Rd
- The 900 block of Oyster Bay Drive
On Friday, January 31, 2020, productions trucks and equipment will begin vacating the above lots, opening them back up to
the general public.
In general, filming will be between 8:00am and 9:00pm over the 4 days. Motorists should expect some traffic control on 1st
Ave and Roberts St during these hours. Whilst we are filming and for logistical support, production will also require blocks of
parking stalls along 1st Avenue between Roberts and Gatacre Street, but we will make every effort to best accommodate any
short term parking needs. We will have production personnel ready to help answer any questions or assist pedestrians whilst
filming is taking place.
Businesses in Ladysmith remain open as usual during our visit and we will have dedicated community personnel on site to
assist in getting you to and from wherever you need to go in town. If you require any special assistance or even just some help
carrying some shopping to your car, we will be standing by to help make your day go as smoothly as possible.
Weather permitting, the Town may make the gravel lot at 20 Buller Street, behind the Ladysmith Museum, available to the
general public to help supplement public parking in the area.
The following is a general guideline of our intended activities:
