**This position is located in Duncan, BC on Vancouver Island.**
Summary:
We are seeking Animators to join our team at Bron as we embark on development of our first animated feature film. We are looking for experienced and talented Animators with a strong understanding of appeal, and a willingness to experiment. Working closely with the Animation Supervisor, the Animators will help develop the characters? personalities and animation style for the film. You have a passion for your craft, take direction well, remain calm under pressure and you are a great team player.
Responsibilities:
Work with Animation Supervisor to help define and maintain the look & quality bar of the animation in the show
Animate key sequences or shots to set the quality bar
Work with rigging team to develop awesome character animation rigs
Encourage good working practices for animators & encourage whole department to work together as a team
Work with Producer and coordinators to provide estimated delivery times for keyframe animation
Maintain a positive leadership & mentorship attitude
Any other duties and responsibilities typically required of an Animator as required at the Producer?s discretion
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Film, Animation and/or relevant industry experience
Feature film level animation skills, and an expert level understanding of the animation principles
Strong sense of timing and posing
Experience teaching and/or mentoring animators
Expertise in Maya
Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
Solid work ethic and positive attitude
Strong collaborative mindset
Desire to innovate towards efficient process
Works well under pressure
Pro-active
Efficient and detail oriented
**We are looking to fill seats between April to June 2015. Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.**
